Wrinkles, Lines, and Sun-Damaged Skin Therapy

How does skin age?

Aging of the skin is a continuous process that results in the gradual loss of collagen and elastin. The signs of aging include fine lines, wrinkles, and transparent skin.

Genes control how quickly the aging process unfolds. Some people are blessed with a great genetic profile and appear to be much younger than their age! The rest of us can reduce premature aging by limiting sun exposure, quitting smoking and stopping repetitive facial expressions (such as frowning).

What is photo-aging? Is the sun the enemy?

Without protection from the sun’s rays, just a few minutes of exposure each day over the years can cause noticeable changes to the skin. Freckles, age spots, spider veins, rough leathery skin, wrinkles, sagging skin, a blotchy complexion, actinic keratosis (rough, wart-like horns) and skin cancer can all be traced to excessive sun exposure.

Allura can help you reduce the severity of these conditions and make you look and feel younger.
